Pair Of Louis XVI Period Salt Stands, Brussels 1783, Period Interiors flag

Object description :

"Pair Of Louis XVI Period Salt Stands, Brussels 1783, Period Interiors"
Lovely pair of solid silver salt cellars from the Louis XVI period with the hallmarks of the city of Brussels for the 1783 vintage and of a master silversmith listed but to date not yet identified who stamped with a pair of glasses (which often lends confused with the town hallmark of Oudenaerde....). The cut and gilded glass interiors on the edges are period and probably come from a factory in the Mosan basin. One is a slightly different blue than the other.
