Painting By Fernand Maillaud

We present this oil on panel by the painter Fernand MAILLAUD, it is well framed. Fernand MAILLAUD was born in 1862 and died on August 30, 1948, he rests in the cemetery of Guéret. He rubbed shoulders with the greatest in a movement around Gauguin. He is to be classified as a post-impressionist, he is a painter, illustrator, cabinetmaker and designer of tapestries. He really started in 1896 at the salon of French artists, he even participated in an exhibition in Buenos Aires and exhibited at the BERNHEIM gallery in Paris. This painter is talented, he is part of the CROZANT school. We feel that he is not in the place he deserves, he was worth much more than he is worth today. In the 70s, I bought part of his workshop and at the time I sold it very well. (E)
