"False Pair Of Louis XVI Period Armchairs, Upholstered In Carmine Leather."
False pair of Louis XVI armchairs, made at the end of the 18th century and restored in the 90s. They have been reupholstered in carmine leather, in/out backrest and seat. These two armchairs are almost identical (what is called a false paire in french). The only difference: acanthus leaves in the curve of the armrests of one of the models. The leather is in perfect condition, the wood has some flaws visible on closer inspection. Good condition. Visible in Paris.
