Pretty partridge in a stone niche, oil on canvas Quality XVII, colors and details are a beautiful rendered. Attributed to Jan Vonck (1631, Toru - 1663/1664). It is a Dutch painter of the Golden Age. He is known for his paintings of still lifes depicting dead animals such as birds and fish. Little is known about the artist's life. He is an active painter in Amsterdam between 1645 and 1664. He is the son of Elias Vonck painter who taught him painting still lifes. Like his father, he has collaborated with Jacob van Ruysdael painting animals on works depicting landscapes painted by Van Ruysdael. He died between 1663 and 1664.
