Charles XII or Carl of Sweden
Exceptional in size and quality of execution engraving dedicated to His Majesty Charles Jean King of Sweden and Norway engraved by Adrien Migneret in 1840 after a painting by Schnetz. Adrien Jacques Antoine Migneret (1786-1840) was a french engraver.

Charles XII was king of Sweden from 1697 to 1718, he was defeated by the Russian army at the battle of Poltava in 1709. 
He died in 1718 at the siege of Fredriksten.
