Depicted dead, with head leaning to the right, this Christ has thin and slender limbs. Legs are slightly bend with superimposed feet on each other, and arms are raised in a straight move. Torso shows a very pronounced formation, with hollow belly and ribs distinctly in relief.
He wears a medium-lenght perizonium animated by thick pleats, knotted on the right hip with a long flap floating aside. Hair and beard are worked by a fine chasing, and the crown of thorns has been casted separately and gathered afterwards.
The Christ is nailed on a dark with reddish shine wooden cross, of a more recent fabrication.
Excellent condition, nice specimen, rather well preserved gilding.
