This original photograph of the bust of Verlaine was taken by Paul Marsan dit Dornac (1858-1941) on July 6, 1896. This bust is a work of the Swiss sculptor Auguste de Niederhausern, dit Rodo (1863-1913). The photo is dedicated by Rodo to Stéphane Mallarmé. "Tribute of sincere admiration to my dear president, His Niederhausern, July 6, 96.."
