Large 19th century box from the Napoleon III period with a molded wooden structure in an architectural rectangular shape presenting five enamel plates painted in grisaille with gold highlights on a deep burgundy background featuring a rich Bérain decor animated with foliage scrolls dominated on the top by a multi-lobed medallion with a female figure dressed in an antique drapery, the whole set in gilded bronze frames, work attributable to Ernest Blancher around 1890 in Limoges. Good general condition, lock and its original key with an openwork Gothic style motif in good working order. Dimensions: 22 cm long X 19 cm high X 17 cm wide.
