Entirely restored by the TWS workshops (Calais) and covered with a jacquard fabric in relief with a beautiful textured effect, which contrasts with the touches of shiny velvet, the "PLATEA" model from the Casal house.
This beautiful piece is attributed to the Louis Majorelle workshops.

The daybed is a single bed. This kind of sofa was usually placed in the living room and was used to rest during the day.
It appeared in the 17th century and was in vogue in the following century in duchess, duchess-breasted and meridian versions.
Rest beds as well as deckchairs, armchairs, sofas and divans are separate places for reading or daydreaming.
