The sculpture depicts Guanyin (Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara) with her children. Guanyin is seated in a cave and dressed in decorative robes. Her perfectly shaped face shows great serenity during meditation. The Bodhisattva is accompanied by two children standing on pedestals with leaves. Enamelled porcelain (blanc de chine). China, Qing dynasty, 19th century. Height 29 cm, width 23 cm, depth 16 cm. Preserved condition as seen in the photographs, there are many repairs and damages: Guanyin's head, damage to children and bases, edge of the container, the entire cave behind the Gunayin's back largely rebuilt.
