Couteau Avec Fourreau - Amérique Du Sud

A beautiful knife from the region of Ecuador in South America, arranged in its original sheath. The scabbard shows an animated scene of a woman wearing a loincloth and carrying a large Coca leaf in her hand. Her headdress seems to evoke the ancient figures of the Valdivia culture, one of the oldest civilizations to have inhabited the region of Ecuador.
A bird sits above the woman's headdress, feasting on fruit in the branches of a tree.
The edge of the blade remains particularly sharp. Different spots of oxidation run across the blade, adding a certain cachet to this knife which has not lost its superb quality. A finely carved gutter in the center of the blade allows a better flow of liquids that could meet this dagger.
