Pretty English Piqueté Box, Flowers, Insects, 18th Century

Beautiful rectangular snuff box, flat with rounded corners from tortoiseshell and silver, decor nailed of gold and painted with polychrome varnish, pretty insect spandrels. Shape is typically 1st half of the 18th century,  shimmering aspect, beautiful allure.
Looking more closely you can see that wear and weather has forced previous owners to fix it, it's inconspicuous on the outside, but evident under cover. Having no repairman, I preferred to settle for a light polish, and ask for a light price.
