"Mandau Saber Handle – Borneo Island / Indonesia"
Mandau saber hilt, in antler with a beautiful blond patina, composed of numerous chiseled decorations showing scroll patterns, typical of the Dayaks. A lock of hair crowns the upper part, giving the object a very animal look. We can see another wick of animal silk that adorns the other part. The base of the handle is covered with a skilful work of vegetable fiber basketwork.
