"Half-moon Mahogany Buffet-commode, Transition Louis XV-louis XVI - 1st Part Of The Twentieth"
Small Half-moon Mahogany Sideboard-Commode, composed of a door on the front that pulls to the right. It is embellished with three romantic paintings, signed A.Rosus, representing a couple of young lovers in the heart of a country setting. On the front of this sideboard, the man is playing the mandolin to his bride. On the sides, this same landscape is represented through two panels, bringing continuity to the scene. These illustrations of yesteryear are surrounded by a bronze garland. The frames are in satin mahogany. This opening is provided with a bronze entry, and equipped with a functional lock supplied with its key. It offers a mahogany interior, consisting of a shelf on cleats. The belt and the crosspiece, adorned with motifs, are underlined by a gadrooned bronze rod. The amounts are decorated with a fall in the upper part. The set rests on four humpbacked feet, tapering downwards, decorated with patterns, and ending in a bronze clog. This piece of furniture is topped with marble, veined in anthracite grey, on a creamy white background. With its bucolic charm, this elegant little sideboard will become a centerpiece in your interior.
