France XIXth : "small Apothecary Mortar" flag

Object description :

"France XIXth : "small Apothecary Mortar""
France 19th century: "Small apothecary mortar", red marble veined with white and green reflections, certainly from the Pyrenees 6 X 10.1 X 10.1 cm, with its original pestle 10.3 X 2.6 cm, the slight notch allowing juices and powders to flow more precisely. Slightly dulled by use, but very good condition. Even if, nowadays, apart from their decorative aspect of "Cabinet of curiosities", they are hardly used in pharmacies, they are used again a lot since the revival of the kitchen to grind herbs and spices... Nothing to do with a blender! Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone.
