This J58 model was produced only between 1953 and 1954, hence its rarity.
The structure is entirely made of solid beech and each element is rounded and/or tapered in accordance with the organic concept of Scandinavian design. It adopts a "sled" shape and offers a very low seat, almost flush with the ground.
The jute webbing is held in place by a clever system of metal wedges which pass through ring hooks, screwed into the seat.
The cushions have been redone in a pretty, slightly mottled and particularly soft blue-grey fabric: they invite you to come and sit down or curl up comfortably in these low chairs.
Indeed, the simple, sober and balanced design, as well as the natural side of the solid wood of the structure invite to install these pretty low chairs behind a large bay window of a house by the sea or a chalet in the mountains, in order to settle down there to observe the sea or contemplate the falling snow.
Very good condition, completely renovated by our workshop: structures completely cleaned and revived, strapping redone identically (a missing key has been replaced) and the cushion covers have been redone (old covers kept and offered with the new ones) .
