"Ngbaka Mask, Drc"
Facial mask whose face is inscribed in a kind of fine covered with yellow pigment. The raised nose starts from the front edge and comes to the middle of the face. The slightly offset eyes are square cavities and respond to the mouth which is itself made of a rectangular cavity where wooden teeth are planted. This mask is very harmonious and the sculptor was able to bring out a beautiful expression with a minimum of lines. This type of mask was used during initiation rituals.
