Oromo (ethiopia) : "old Monoxyl Milk Jug"

Oromo (Ethiopia): "Old milk jug", apparently monoxyle, even the attachments, it presents an indigenous restoration on the side, an interesting work of basketwork to close the neck which is closed by a plug forming an upside-down bowl ( small lack) whose interior as well as that of the gourd were sealed by an undetermined material. Total height 29 cm, gourd alone 20 X 16 cm. The skin attachment is visibly posterior. I really like ethnic objects and buy them quite often even if my notorious incompetence often requires long research (!), this beautiful work of sculpture and its patina attesting to its seniority seduced me.
