"Pearl Gray Lacquered Shepherdess, Louis XVI Period, 18th Century, Stamped Gh Vinatier"
Beautiful and elegant shepherdess in pearl gray lacquered walnut, richly carved with acanthus leaves, pearls and ribbons. It rests on four rudenté and tapered legs and provided with carved crossette connections as well as a hat belt. A beautiful gold silk trim completes the decor (wear on the silk). Our shepherdess bears the stamp Gilles Hyacinthe VINATIER received Master on September 22, 1785. This carpenter, established rue de Cléry, where he worked until 1799, produced very good quality seats. Some of his works are not lacking in originality. This is the case of the living room furniture owned by the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. Shepherdess stamped GH VINATIER from the Louis XVI period, around 1785. In very good condition.
