Born November 28, 1871 in Algiers of French parents. Died in 1958 or in 1964 in Nice. French. Painter of genre scenes, typical subjects, portraits, landscapes, flowers and fruits. Orientalist. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Marseille, then he was a student of Jean Léon Gérôme in Paris. He settled permanently in Nice in 1950. He appeared at the Salon of French Artists in Paris, of which he became a member in 1907, and at the Colonial Exhibition in Marseille the same year. He obtained an honorable mention in 1907, a third class medal in 1910, a gold medal in 1924. He was appointed curator of the Arles museum and was promoted to Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. He shows a predilection for Provençal landscapes which he rendered with ardor and lightness, also producing some orientalist paintings. Museums: Marseille (Cantini museum): Street in Tunis.
