Pair of large baluster vases in white crystal opaline, with an opaque surface hosting a rich decoration in a cartouche.
Instruments of the Passion, Tables of the Law, Bible, Caliche and Paten, Monstrance, Miter and Crosse, rose hips painted in gold enhanced with black and turquoise enamel dots.
Base and collar enhanced with a gold thread.
Originally church altar vases.
Mid-nineteenth century period.
Height: 40 cm
Diameter at the base: 13 cm.
Diameter at the neck: 16 cm.
Maximum diameter of the body: 20 cm.
Some wear to the decorations and micro scratches on the surface.
No cracks or égrenures.
Clean interior with some traces of limestone.
