"Small Mahogany Commode, Louis XV Style - Early Twentieth"
Small chest of drawers in precious wood, with a curved and potbellied front. This piece of furniture is topped with a brocatelle marble in shades of yellow and Sienna with the molded edge of a groove and a bec-de-corbin. This piece of furniture is made up of three drawers with a perimeter in satin mahogany, offering a geometric marquetry of kingwood and lemon tree fillet, formed of a tangle of perfectly proportioned squares. Each drawer is embellished with two mirrored handles and an entry, all in bronze, and accompanied by original functional locks and three keys. The uprights, potbellied, are decorated with a drop in the upper part and end with a bronze clog foot. The lower crosspiece is cut out. It features a leaf pattern in its center. The sides are curved and bulbous in the same spirit of marquetry. The interiors of the drawers as well as the back of the cabinet are in solid oak.
