"The Weighing Of Souls....or Golden Psychostasis..."
Ah if Maat were among us.... In ancient Egypt, the judgment of the soul is a trial where the deceased must appear to have their rights to eternal life recognized. The concept of two golden skulls confronting each other on a balance of Roberval was present at the exhibition of cabinets of curiosities in Landerneau, at the cultural center Hélène and Edouard Leclerc ... in June 2019 .... vanity ... Since thoughts fly away..... I try to imagine the dialogue between these two memento mori: sir, would he have fished more of the lady?, or the other way around, or would it be two colleagues, who died in a duel? or ...... In short, this symbolism is interesting insofar as all "or?" are allowed.... PS psychostasis is: Name given by the Greeks to the "weighing of the soul", act of the ancient Egyptian funeral ritual. (In medieval Western art, it is Saint Michael who holds the scales where souls are weighed at the Last Judgment.)
