Training at the academies of Ostend and Ghent. Known mainly for his etchings and his drawings enhanced with watercolour, the artist reveals a prosaic reality (children playing, solitary walkers, old men sitting) marked by silent questioning and gentle melancholy. In the 1980s he also devoted himself to painting; he also worked in watercolor on backgrounds of juxtaposed engravings. Teaches at the Academy of Ostend.
