Good general condition, dimensions: 43 cm high X 13 cm wide. *Born in 1946, Jean-Paul Baudouin has been painting and drawing since childhood, he paints in the evening in the cellar of the family home. Under the influence of an artist cousin, he became an artisan potter, notably specializing in old Quimper. Sculptor, writer and potter, his first exhibitions took place at his home. Jean-Paul Baudouin creates a whole world dedicated to female deities: Isis, Ishtar, Ana, fairies and mermaids, but also to the heroes of the Arthurian legend, he creates polychrome clay statues and metal sculptures composed of old tools welded between them covered with bright colors. He proclaims himself "fetish shaman" and declares, a few years ago, to be the depositary of a real magic wand found in the forest on the instructions of a saint. Jean-Paul Baudouin explored all civilizations from the primitive Christians; and it is from this culture that he formed the basis of his work, moreover he collaborated in druidic journals.
