"Old Oil Painting On Isrorel Durando Togo Richard Portrait Of Elegant Woman Around 1950"
DT Richard Durando-Togo (born in 1910 in Buenos Aires) is a painter of Argentine origin who spent most of his life in Italy and France where he settled permanently in 1934. In 1968, Richard received the Grand Prix international painting. He is a self-taught artist with a very personal style, painting light and shadow which are often juxtaposed blonde and brunette to create an atmosphere of mystery. The "naked" Richards are not shock to the eye, which retains only refinement and elegance. He was a prolific painter who created oil paintings of gypsy dances and musical scenes, market scenes, portraits of women with hats, nudes, and vividly colored still life paintings. Richard's works are in collections in France, Italy, England, the United States, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
