Plate in damask steel. Attributed to Giovanni Battista Panzeri, circa 1570. A damascened steel plaquette of Christ risen from the tomb with a tympanum of God the Father. Attributed to Giovanni Battista Panzeri, Italian, c.1570. Measures 23 x 14cm. Christ, standing in the tomb, is surrounded by the Virgin and Saint John, the cross and the city of Jerusalem are visible in the background. Above the main plate is a tympanum decorated with God the Father between the sun and the moon and surmounted by a putto head. Both plates are placed in an old wooden frame later blackened with gilt highlights. ORIGIN; Château de Chambord, probably until 1792.
