"Element Of Altarpiece In Stone XV"
Element of a 15th century altarpiece in soapstone from Nancy, Lorraine school. Consisting of 2 stones carved with columns, cornices, niches and door. Particularity at the level of the niches and the door, on each the left side is treated in Romanesque style and the right in Gothic style. Above the door the remains of a Virgin and Child, chiselled at one time, and in the upper niche there must have been a small statue. Good condition. Dimensions width 68 cm height 73 cm (37.5 x 2) thickness 14 cm at the thickest 6.5 cm at the thinnest.
