"Watercolor Charles Chaplin"
We present this watercolor drawing by Charles CHAPLIN, artist born in 1825 and died in 1891. He was a painter very much appreciated by Empress Eugenie. He was considered after his period landscapes of Auvergne and Lozère as the intimate painter of women. Our work is probably an in-depth study for an oil, maybe known, that only engages us. In speaking of him, the critics alluded to a 19th century butcher. Our work is on paper, well framed and in good condition. (E)
