Oil on canvas by the Pontivian painter Alice Pasco. This nude is part of the work of this artist who loved to paint portraits and was often inspired by the antique. Born on April 12, 1926, in Saint-Gérand, Alice Pasco died on July 8, 2013, in Pontivy. It was in this city that she did her schooling, between the Joseph-Loth high school and the Jeanne-D'Arc institution. At the School of Fine Arts in Rennes, then in Paris, from 1945 to 1948, she learned the art of drawing and painting. She followed the courses of the Ducos de La Haille workshop, grand master of frescoes. This will inspire him later in his wall decoration work. His subjects are varied: landscapes, portraits, biblical, mythological and historical scenes. After having participated in many fairs: winter fair in 1947 and 1948, French artists' fair in 1950, she adds up prizes and mentions. At the age of only 24, she became a member of the French Artists. She dies at the age of 87. The dimensions indicated are those with the frame (26 x 40 without frame)
