Pair of oil on canvas paintings depicting interior scenes from the 18th century. Paintings made in the 19th century from Freudeberg engravings by Nicolas Delaunay. - The first entitled "Le petit jour", represents 3 characters in an 18th century interior: a man seated in an armchair attends the morning dressing session of a woman by her governess. - The second entitled "The Unexpected Visit" shows a man trying to hold his wife intrigued by the barking of his dog indicating the presence of a second hidden behind a door! The 2 canvases have the same pendant format. From Aveyron castle.
