"Bronze Representative Mirabeau"
Bronze representing Mirabeau signed André François Joseph Truphème, born in Aix-en-Provence on March 23, 1820 and died in Paris on January 22, 1888, is a French sculptor. François Truphème, elder brother of the painter Auguste Truphème (1836-1898), was a pupil of Jean-Marie Bonnassieux at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, thanks to the protection of Mignet. From 1850, he exhibited at the Salon until his death in 1888. He obtained three medals in 1859 for Rêverie, in 1864 for A young girl at the source1 and in 1865 for Le Berger Lycidas sculpting the end of his stick2. He creates numerous sculptures for public monuments. In the main staircase of the Museum of Fine Arts of Marseille at the Longchamp Palace, He made the two statues which stand at the entrance to the Cours Mirabeau in Aix-en-Provence: Granet Museum in Aix en Provence François Marius Granet , 1877, marble bust6; Louis-Mathurin Clérian, 1842, marble bust; Mirabeau, 1869, plaster model for the statue in the courthouse7;
