A Neoclassical carnelian intaglio depicting a procession of winged putti.

Italian, early 19th century.

Measures 3.7cm wide.

The agate is carved with a putto upon a chariot pulled by goats and holding a thyrsus rod. The putto leading the procession can be seen dancing and playing the pipes.
