A rare silver hoof spoon. Dutch - 17th century Typical shape, the oval spoon bowl with rat-tail on reverse, the cast handle faceted and ending in a hoof, engraved on the back of the bowl with the initials MH AP. Marked with the hall marks of the city of Rotterdam, letter date O gotique for1637. The silversmith hallmark is known for three pots in a shield.
