Object description :

"A Japanese Gilt Bronze Basket Bowl, France, 2nd Half 19th Century"

An interesting basket-cup made in a style reminiscent of the products of the cherry blossom country. A small bird is sitting on the branch-shaped handle with fruit. The bottom of the tray looks like a large, slightly curled leaf. The whole piece is engraved with floral motifs.

The bronze is partially patinated and gilded.

France, 2nd half of the 19th century.

Height 21 cm, length 29 cm, width 22 cm.
