A decorative silver-plated mirror in Roman Plewkiewicz's factory in Warsaw. The sumptuous neoclassical decoration features garlands, rosettes, ribbons, a cartouche with a monogram and a bird atop a tree. Roman Plewkiewicz, Warsaw, Poland, 1886-1900. Length 40.5 cm, width 16 cm. Condition as seen in the photos, good, the junction of the handle to the mirror slightly askew, Founded in 1886, the silver and gold metal factory Roman Plewkiewicz & Co offered its products before the First World War in its own store in the Długa Street in Warsaw and in the elegant Jaskólski warehouse, located on Wierzbno Street. Maintained in the Art Nouveau and Eclectic styles, Plewkiewicz cutlery and crockery features a distinctive combination of platinum with colored glass and inlaid metal.
