"Orientalist School Circa 1920 : "girl With Jug""
French or Belgian school circa 1920 : "Young girl with a jug", pastel on thick chamois paper 65 X 54 cm, mounted with a neutral pH bevel under a "museum" glass in a Parnassian frame 84 X 72 cm. This delightful, unfortunately anonymous pastel is presented like a painting in its beautiful Regency style frame and is fitted with this almost glare-free glass that gives the impression of not being there! The young girl, her chin proudly raised, is sitting cross-legged, her hand resting on her pitcher. She wears a necklace of blue pearls and her headgear from which escape abundant curly hair, is girded with a scarf falling on her chest. Perhaps these clothing details will allow specialists to identify the region? Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone.
