"Neo-gothic Fireplace Trim By Maison Blot Et Drouard, Paris"
Rare neo-Gothic style mantelpiece consisting of a clock and two candelabra symbolizing the Oktoberfest. This set is in polychrome spelter, characterized by a choice of model directed by the most enlightened taste. The sharpness of the details and the purity of the lines are perfect. The clock is animated by a hilarious monk holding a needle in his arms in which the mechanism is inserted. The candelabras are represented by two festive characters, brandishing mugs of beer which serve as a support for a candle. Blot and Drouard, obtained at the Universal Exhibition of 1867 the silver medal, the highest reward that has been granted to zinc dart.
