Rare Bronze representing a leaguer in a beautiful attitude. He has his right hand resting on his hip and looking down. He wears the sword on the left hip and holds an arquebus on the left shoulder, he walks on the pavement. It is a work of the French sculptor Armand LE VEEL born January 27, 1821 in Bricqueber and died July 26, 1905 in Cherbourg. The piece, which is a very fine old proof with a brown patina, is unsigned, which seems to have been common. An old correspondence with the museum of Cherbourg nevertheless made it possible to identify it without the slightest ambiguity.
