A sculpture representing Guanyin (Sanskrit: Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara). Guanyin is a bodhisattva embodying compassion; its name means "to observe the sounds", that is to say to listen to the requests. The wooden sculpture is covered with a multicolored polychromy.
