His work as a caricaturist premiered at the Sala Parés in 1903, being a starting point for his subsequent collaboration in Catalan publications such as La Tomasa or La Tribuna in Barcelona.
After a period in prison for his involvement in the general strike of 1917 and a tour of America, he will participate in the magazine España for which he will make a series of color covers. The innovation in his way of treating caricature and the content of strong political and social criticism would earn him his participation in the Iberian Exhibition in 1925, being a figure appreciated by avant-garde artists. The decade of the twenties was very important for his career with a large volume of publications mainly in the magazine El Sol.
