Large so-called "kidney" basin, in stone from Saint Cyr au Mont d'Or, carved during the second half of the 18th century and coming from the castle of Saint Germain au Mont d'Or. The particularity of this stone is the inclusion of gyphaea, mother-of-pearl color (mollusk close to the oyster having lived from the Upper Triassic to the Cretaceous, −237 to −201 million years).
