"Somno In Mahogany, England - Mid-19th Century"
Cylindrical somno, topped with slightly veined white marble, set in a solid mahogany crown molded in gradient. The barrel has no cracks. There is also no daylight between the frame and the door. The latter, veneered with a single mahogany burl, opens to the right on offset lighters and has a wooden key button, allowing it to be closed. The whole rests on a base whose overhanging perimeter is solid and the recessed plinth is in vertical veneer. The interior of this piece of furniture offers a shelf on cleats. This somno, combining sobriety and refinement through the quality of its wood species, will easily find its place in any style of interior.
