Object description :

"Exceptional Set Of Four 18th Century British Porcelain Putti Attributed To Chelsea"
The quality of these four 4 1/4’’ figurines is remarkable and can be attributed to Chelsea’s porcelain production, according to the hand marking consisting into a tiny brick red anchor.
Each putto is represented in lively poses, from left to right: a lady putto wearing a scarf holds a baby in its crib (minor damage to the tip of the fingers on the left hand, otherwise excellent), a nonchalant putto wears his pirate costume, including a black wooden leg (left hand re-glued), another putto wears a black hat, a chocolate dispenser in the back and holds a cone as well as a clock (perfect condition), the last putto is fully dressed with tricorne hat, vest and pants and shows a very elegant arms movement, as if he was dancing (perfect condition and bearing rest of a paper label from an antiques gallery in New York).
