"Small Commode d'Entre-deux, Transition Style Louis XV / Louis XVI - Early 20th Century"
Entre-deux chest of drawers with a slightly moving front and curved sides. It has two drawers on the front in mahogany veneer. They are embellished with friezes whose periphery is in wood net tinted water green and lemon tree, the periphery is in rosewood band. The low crosspiece that follows them is decorated with a bronze motif, using the same essences. Their opening is permitted thanks to two beaded bronze rings and an original Louis XVI knot entry, in working order. In the concave sides, we find a mahogany frieze with a rosewood surround in the perimeter. It rests on four canted legs in light mahogany veneer, the upper part of which has a bronze drop. The extension of these is slightly curved; they are then veneered in rosewood and end with a bronze leaf shoe. It is surmounted by a marble top, nuanced in pink and anthracite, which takes the form of the piece of furniture with a groove in its periphery. Neo-Classical inspired, this small dresser with fine marquetry is remarkable for its refinement and elegance.
