Superb and elegant late 17th century table cabinet in rosewood and tortoiseshell. It rests on 4 ball feet and it opens with 5 drawers in 3 rows. The sides and the top of the box are entirely veneered with rosewood with geometric shapes drawn by small ivory fillets. The drawers are decorated with tortoiseshell plates surrounded by an ivory net and gadrooned moldings of tinted wood. The bottom drawer simulates 2 drawer fronts but only forms one, the entire piece of furniture is entirely original and in perfect condition, only accident to a keyhole.
