"Necessary For Sewing, Restoration Period."
This charming little trapezoidal box is a sewing kit, it includes a thimble, a pair of scissors, an awl and a needle holder, only the needle is missing, everything is in vermeil and for the tips of the scissors and polished steel punch. They are contained in an ebony case lined inside with beige silk. In exceptional condition (perfect gilding) these small objects are in vermilion silver, embossed and chiselled with arabesque motifs, flowers and leaves, curves and counter-curves. The lid is encrusted in the center with a small crest intended to receive the initials of its owner. Restoration period. Dimensions: length 12 cm, width 5.2 cm.
