Charcoal signed Yvonne Jean-Haffen* representing baskets for lobster fishing, from the 20th century. This charcoal is in good condition. Signed lower left. A note: slight accidents and scratches on the frame, see photos. * Yvonne Jean-Haffen (1895-1993): painter, engraver, illustrator and ceramist. (Ec fr). Student of Mathurin Méheut, first worked in Quimper (painting on wood and ceramics) then at the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres. Exhibited in 1924 at the Salon of French Artists; then at the National of Fine Arts of which she is a member. Also participates in the Salons of Decorators, of the Navy, of Women Painters; invited to the Salon of Drawing and Painting in water. Private exhibitions in Paris, Brest, Saint-Brieuc, Rennes, Dinan, Nancy, etc. She has made many decorations on the steamers of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique and the Messageries Martitimes.
