"Lucien Hock Young Girl In Front Of Lake Lugano"
Oil on panel by the artist from Liège, Lucien Hock was born in 1899 in Liège1. From 1912 at the School of Armory2, he trained as a weapons engraver, then, from 1917 to 1919, was trained with A. de Witte at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège1. In 1918 he collaborated with the review Anthologie, founded by Georges Linze2. He was a founding member of L'Atelier in 19322. It is said of him that in his youth he produced remarkable portraits3, and that he was an excellent pastel artist4. Winner of the Marie2 prize, in 1965 he received the consecration prize from the province of Liège1. He died in 1972 in his home town. Measurements with frame 83cm by 56cm
