"19th Empire Style Mantel Clock By Petit Pizze In Dijon"
Empire pendulum of the early nineteenth century in gilded bronze, or gilded bronze, depicting an allegorical scene depicting a woman sitting at her work table playing with her dog, a symbol of loyalty. The group is placed above a raised case containing the dial. On one side of the embossed dial is the woman's lover holding the letter she wrote to him and talking to her dog. On the other side of the clock is an oil lamp and a basket of flowers. The clock rests on a base adorned with the caduceus of Mercury and two winged hats, above four spinning top feet. The dial signed Petit Pirre in Dijon
